Supercomputer Technologies in Interdisciplinary Research (Double Degree)

Course content

ITMO University offers Supercomputer Technologies in Interdisciplinary Research Master’s programme in collaboration with the University of Amsterdam.
The programme:
- Designed for excellent students interested in scientific research and project design in various areas of computational science, including HPC technologies for decision support systems, cloud computing and cloud eScience infrastructures, computer multi-scale simulation of complex systems and processes.
- Teaches to build computational models from real life observations, turn them into computational codes and perform large-scale simulations.
- Offers a unique opportunity to earn two diplomas in two years and spend one or two semesters at University of Amsterdam (UvA), the Netherlands.
- Allows students to design their individual track depending on their specialization with a wide range of elective courses.
- Offers immersive, hands-on learning and research with top experts in Computation Science and HPC from the University of Amsterdam and ITMO University and participation in international research groups.
- Opens doors to research and employment opportunities in just about every sector of the economy, large financial and tech companies, government agencies, and global corporations

University of Amsterdam campus:
3 Semester – five of the following elective courses:

• Geoinformatics and geoecological system simulation
• Forensic informational systems
• Evolutionary computing
• Bioinformatics
• eScience infrastructures
• Scientific visualization and virtual reality
• Computational finance
• Non-linear economic dynamics

• 4 Semester:
• Students make and present Master’s research project
