The programme provides you with the opportunity to advance your knowledge about societal change and enhance your abilities to engage in complex planning processes and agendas, in collaboration with citizens and other stakeholders. The programme has a special focus on regional development challenges in European countries.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning or other relevant subject area equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen.
English corresponding to the level of English in Swedish upper secondary education (English 6/B), normally attested by means of an internationally recognised English test.

218,800 SEK (approx.20,000 USD/19,000 Euro) - NB: Applies only to students from outside the EU, EEA and Switzerland.

LiU International Scholarships are aimed at supporting international students with significant academic potential from countries outside the European Union/European Economic Area (and Switzerland) who are required to pay tuition fees. We offer a limited number of LiU International Scholarships to new students. The tuition fees for a student awarded a LiU International Scholarship are reduced by 25, 50, 75 or 100%.

Students who have applied for a master’s programme at Linköping University on time (15 January , AND
- have chosen a master’s programme at Linköping University as their first priority
(ranked as number 1 of 4) AND

(6 April 2018), AND
- are required to pay tuition fees.

Application Procedure
