The MA in Spanish programme offers two areas of emphasis: Peninsular and Latin American Literatures, or Hispanic Linguistics. To be eligible, applicants must have a baccalaureate degree or equivalent, and demonstrate native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, as well as a general knowledge of Peninsular and Latin American Literatures. The programme provides a comprehensive overview of cultural productions in the Spanish-speaking world and requires students to complete 30 hours of graduate coursework. Students in the Hispanic Linguistics option have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty and specialize in various topics. International applicants must meet language proficiency requirements.
