The MA in Sociology (Applied Social Research) is a one year full time, two year part time interdisciplinary programme. It equips students with valued research and communications skills and a solid foundation in key social issues.

The course focus is on sociological research methods, and the intention is to produce graduates ready to embark on research careers in the private, public, voluntary or academic spheres. Entry Requirements

The basic requirement is a first or second-class Honours degree in sociology or a cognate area or an approved equivalent qualification or an equivalent capability based on prior substantial relevant experience (Primary Degree: Level 8- National Qualifications Authority of Ireland).
