In just one year, you can gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be ready to teach in secondary schools. This course offers a comprehensive curriculum, covering lesson planning, learning strategies, behaviour management and more. You'll have the opportunity to gain teaching experience through two school placements, allowing you to develop your skills and confidence. With entry requirements of a 2.1 or above in History or a related subject, along with GCSEs in English and Maths, this programme will set you on the path to a successful teaching career.

This full-time, one-year course is designed to train you as a confident and inspiring secondary teacher.

At the end of this one-year degree, you’ll be ready to confidently begin teaching History in a secondary school.
