Home economics in secondary schools encompasses:
At Strathclyde, our experienced home economics tutors have wide knowledge in all contexts of Home economics and have established a sound reputation amongst the teaching profession for their pro-active approach to teacher education.
An ordinary degree, or international equivalent.
Degree must include:
80 SCQF credits with 40 credits at SCQF level 8 from at least two of the following subjects:
consumer studies
food studies
food or textile technology
nutrition
Evidence of certified competency in textiles, practical food or nutrition is required if this is not included in the degree.
