Dissertation The dissertation requires the student, supported by a supervisor, to take an independent and self-structured approach to learning, through the investigation of a particular topic and writing it up in the form of a 12,000–15,000 word document. The dissertation will have its focus on a particular issue of interest related to risk management and may also be related to a live organisation if considered desirable.
