All of our MSc programmes are research intensive, providing essential training in analytical ability, methods awareness and critical thinking, among other fundamental transferable skills.
Our MSc Research Methods in Psychology programme has a long-standing reputation for preparing students to undertake PhD research and postgraduate clinical training. Our students have moved on to PhD positions, research assistant or assistant psychologist posts in the NHS and private sector, clinical training, as well as non-psychology positions in industry.
As our popular programmes are consistently oversubscribed we advise early applications (prior to May each year) since we cannot accept applicants once the programmes are full. Entrants are normally required to have obtained a good first or second class UK honours degree (or equivalent from a university outside the UK) in psychology or a related discipline (for example, cognitive neuroscience). Your degree should have included biological psychology as required by the British Psychological Society.
Recipient: University of Reading
