HOW WE TEACH YOU
Similar to corporate training methods, our flexible courses are based around relatively short periods of intensive study which are then reinforced by your experience in practice and web-based learning materials. You will attend the University for short blocks of study when there are opportunities to experience a range of learning methods. Each module runs for either 4 or 5 days and is held from Monday to Thursday or Monday to Friday. The timings of each module can be seen on the timetables available via the links below.
You are encouraged to contribute your own knowledge and experience in order to extend the learning opportunities. The flexibility of the courses means that there are no stages or parts to the degree. You work towards the Masters qualification by fulfilling requirements for 180 credits. There is also the possibility of gaining a Postgraduate Certificate (60 credits) or Postgraduate Diploma (120 credits). It is also possible to take individual modules as part of a Continuing Professional Development programme.
Our courses are designed and delivered by internationally-renowned experts, with a wealth of academic and professional experience. All of our courses are regularly updated to maintain their relevance in a rapidly changing industry.
Students must be in relevant employment in order to undertake the programme. Their career prospects will be enhanced by the skills and knowledge gained on each of the modules.
Students will benefit from the networking opportunities with fellow real estate professionals afforded to them in the various modules.

"The MSc Real Estate course at Reading provided me with an excellent grounding in the technical knowledge needed to embark on a career in surveying, a brilliant network of people working within the industry and was great fun too. I made some really great friends while I was there and I am convinced that being at Reading was a key factor in securing my place on the CBRE graduate scheme."
"I really enjoyed my time at Reading and felt privileged to be part of a course held in the highest regard by the property industry. The core modules gave me a wide range of essential real estate knowledge and the finance and investment options gave me the opportunity to narrow my focus and go on to pursue a career as an investment analyst."
"The MSc in Real Estate at the University of Reading was the obvious choice for me due to the unprecedented reputation of the department and its staff within the real estate network. The ability and drive to keep the course current and the exposure to the big players from Day one of the course definitely contributes to that. When I arrived in industry I felt well prepared from an academic perspective, but equally from a business perspective. I would, and do, recommend the MSc in Real Estate as the number one course for anyone wanting to pursue a career in Real Estate."
