Our Quality Management (International) course offers practical experience and will broaden your horizons giving your studies a global outlook while enhancing your understanding of modern developments within quality.

This dual award course is the same as the MSc Quality Management but with additional study at the University of Angers in France. Funding options are available for the period of study in France.

At the end of the course you will receive two Masters; MSc Quality Management (International) from UWS, and MSc ISMP (Ingénierie des Systèmes et Management de Project) from University of Angers. Classes in France are taught in French but you can sit exams and assignments in English.

Course Details

Our dual award course is the same as the MSc Quality Management but with additional study at the University of Angers in France. At the end of our course you will receive two Masters; MSc Quality Management (International) from UWS, and MSc ISMP (Ingénierie des Systèmes et Management de Project) from University of Angers. Classes in France are taught in French but you can sit exams and assignments in English.

You can expect to study the modules below:

  • MSc Quality Management (International) Postgraduate Diploma 
  • Operations and Project Management 
  • Interpersonal Skills and Change Management (10 point module) 

Research Design and Methods (10 point module) plus one from: 

  • Service Quality or 
  • Reliability and Experimental Design for Industry

MSc ISMP You will also study: 

  • Formation Générale
  • Management de projet 
  • Qualité Logiciel

Upon successful completion of the taught modules listed above you will undertake the MSc research project, which can be carried out within industry in Scotland or France.

Teaching & Assessment

Teaching on our Quality Management (International) course will consist of a combination of:

  • Formal and online teaching sessions 
  • Industrial seminars 
  • Tutor-led taught 
  • Online tutorials 
  • Group participation sessions

Self-directed learning, problem based learning, case studies and seminars will form part of this approach.

You will be assessed through a mixture of: 

  • Written exam papers 
  • Challenging and stimulating coursework 
  • Laboratory exercises (available online) 
  • Student involvement in the industrially related integrative project
