• Aspires to educate individuals as critical managers and improve the quality of management within public health settings.

• Aims to develop in individuals an integrated and critical understanding of management and organisations and to prepare them for effective roles within public health administration.

• Aims to provide opportunities for in-depth reflection and critical analyses of important developments and advances in public health administration in the students' countries of origin, globally and the changing context in which all professions and services relevant to the delivery of health and social care operate.

• Aims to enable students to identify and to develop their own interests in the context of a coherent postgraduate level education

• Is delivered by staff with specialist expertise within a range of areas, who are all actively involved in research, ensuring the course is up to date and informed by evidence.

• Provides you with an opportunity to network with professionals from different disciplines.

This non-clinical course is aimed at individuals currently working or intending to work in public health administration roles. You may be a health or non-health professional who is interested in developing your knowledge and understanding of public health administration. The course provides the opportunity for you to develop leadership, management and administration skills for use in a public health context, which is informed by up to date evidence. You may also broaden your knowledge and understanding of public health issues from an international perspective. This includes a consideration of strategic change and development, leadership and management in public health services.
