Course content

The objectives are: i) training/promotion of scientific research, via common concepts and measures suitable for psychiatric clinic; ii) familiarization with functional neuroanatomy, neural development, neurogenesis, and with signs/symptoms of major psychiatric syndromes in people; iii) study of conceptual trends in psychosomatic medicine, human sexuality and sexual dysfunctions and psychotherapy; iv) focus on problems and issues of society in relation to psychiatry, social and normative sciences. Contents: fundamental aspects on research methodology, abnormal behaviour, biological psychiatry, general psychopathology, psychiatric pathology, liaison psychiatry and psychosomatics, child, adolescent and geriatric psychiatry, clinical sexology, mental health, psychodynamic psychotherapy. Collaboration with Hospital São João (in-campus).
