LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND ASSESSMENT
Throughout the course you will develop your knowledge and understanding through a series of lectures, seminars and practical workshops. These contiguous teaching methods are supported through directed study of text books, research papers/journal articles, case study materials, workshops, and assignments or project work.
Subject specific skills are developed through opportunities to practise such activities in an appropriate learning context (eg seminars, tutorials and workshops). Web based materials and practical manuals are used where appropriate to support structured learning. Other skills are developed through naturally arising opportunities in the curriculum.
Knowledge and understanding is assessed through written assignments, the research dissertation and oral presentations. The assessments are all designed so that you can demonstrate your knowledge and understanding and meet the various module learning outcomes. Within each module the assessment methods are designed to contribute to your continuing development. Feedback is provided on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing periodic evaluations of progress.
