Course content

Develop an appreciation for changes in your field and learn how to respond to them with our Professional Studies (Sport Development) MA course. This work-centred, project-based course provides students with the unique and valuable opportunity to explore shifts in their professional context while developing the skills to deal with them effectively.

This responsive approach to professional development is remarkably enriching, rooted in the modern concept of action research. Students who complete this course find that they have renewed passion for moving upwards in their career, as well as the skills to succeed in higher positions.

The course is both flexible and carefully structured, with each supervised project focusing on a clear theme related to your professional area. Throughout the course, students are supported with project templates which guide them on structure, content and the research process.

Each stage of the programme (PG Cert, PG Dip, MA) is based on a 60 credit module which is delivered through a project.

1st Year
Stage one: PG Cert - Conceptual & Theoretical Discourses

2nd Year
Stage two: PG Dip - Contemporary Contextual Issues
