Practice Development: Enhancing Paramedic Practice MSc

Course Description

This is a post-qualification course.

As a paramedic, it's important your skills are of the highest calibre to ensure a top level of service to patients. Our MSc programme has been developed with local ambulance services to meet the educational needs of paramedics looking to continue their professional development. You'll benefit from a flexible approach to learning that fits around your work shifts, allowing you to study through distance and work-based learning.

We have provided excellent training for paramedics since 2000, and our subject specialists have extensive experience in distance learning. You'll leave with the knowledge and skills to move forward in your career, reaching senior levels of employment. So if you've got the ambition, we have the facilities and resources to help you achieve it.

Course outline

Our course has been designed to meet the needs of paramedics wishing to advance to a more senior level. We understand the demands that shift work presents on your time, which is why we embrace e-learning technologies so that you can study through distance learning at a pace that suits you.

Graduate destinations

You'll be able to pursue a career at a more senior level, such as an advanced, remote or consultant paramedic.

Completing this course could lead to studying at PhD level, or taking one of our stand-alone modules such as respiratory assessment and management, first contact and emergency care and pharmacology and prescribing practice. Alternatively, leave the course with 60 credits for a PgC in Practice Development or with 120 credits for the Diploma.
