The School of Law at Queen Mary has a long tradition of welcoming overseas students who wish to incorporate legal academic study at Queen Mary into their home institutions’ academic programmes, normally for one semester, from September to December. Students have the opportunity to attend a selection of law classes from our prestigious LLM programme and receive credits towards their home degree.
Your fellow students will come from the UK and more than 80 other countries, each able to draw on prior academic and in many cases professional experiences from different jurisdictions to enrich discussion and debate in class.
Since welcoming the first students onto the programme from the University of Texas in 1985, over the years we have welcomed students from Harvard University, Bucerius Law

You must be in your final or penultimate year of a first level/bachelors law degree or JD degree or degree with law as a major element. We are looking for academically strong performing students whom have achieved good academic grades equivalent to the 2.1 (upper second) UK honours degree in law. We will assess each application on an individual basis.
