The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Informatics (PGDipHealInf) is a joint initiative between the University of Otago's Dunedin School of Medicine (Health Sciences) and Department of Information Science (Commerce), delivered over the Internet with weekly direct on-line contact with your tutor.
This postgraduate diploma is intended for health care professionals whose prime focus may be in clinical care delivery, management, education, quality assurance, information systems, or research. Admission may be possible for those with significant health-care work experience but without an undergraduate qualification.
The Postgraduate Diploma in Health Informatics (PGDipHealInf) is also available through Distance Learning.

Every applicant shall have been admitted to the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of a university in New Zealand or hold an equivalent medical qualification approved by the Academic Board of the Otago Medical School, or hold a professional qualification in a health-related field or have satisfied the Otago Medical School that previous training and experience is appropriate for the applicant to undertake the programme.
