Postgraduate Certificate Event and Venue Management


Course Description

This programme is mainly, but not exclusively, designed for people working in the event and venue industry who would like to develop their career, enhance their skills and expand their knowledge of the industry. The award combines the provision of a contextual knowledge base and practical experience opportunity to enable you to provide more effective and efficient solutions to the complex challenges facing event and venue organisations.

The programme provides the opportunity to combine the development of knowledge (such theories, concepts, processes and real world examples) and management skills (such as event design and evaluation, communication and problem-solving) at post-graduate level within a short structured time frame.

Opportunities to interact with the workplace will include engagement in visits and field trips, guest speakers and seminars, and employer led projects and activity in appropriate work related topics

The Staging and Evaluation of Events
Contemporary Event & Venue Management

Entry Requirements

We would normally expect students to have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.However, candidates who do not have a bachelor’s degree but have relevant work experience and/or related qualifications should still apply, and are recommended to speak to the course leader to discuss further before applying.International students are required to have IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
