Advanced Supply Chain and Logistics Management (SCLM) Certificate The Advanced SCLM Certificate program is designed for working professionals in and out of supply chain and logistics management who are in need of an in depth education in the field for enhanced career opportunities. In some instances, individuals with little or no educational background have had successful careers within the field and require a formal education. Others may wish to begin a career in the field and the program is designed to provide coverage of a wide variety of subject areas central to the profession.
The program is also appropriate for individuals who have education or experience in science, engineering, or liberal arts, have employment in SCM or logistics management (LM) related fields, and wish to strengthen their marketability in the fields of SCM or LM.
Finally, many individuals in the armed forces worked in the area of logistics for the military. While this was excellent practical experience, these individuals may wish a formal education in SCM or LM to enhance their career opportunities. The six required courses provide a comprehensive overview of contemporary theory and practice of Supply Chain Management and Logistics Management.
Online Course Delivery The Certificate and Letter of Completion has been specifically designed to meet the needs of working professionals, and will be offered completely online and in a way that it can be completed within one calendar year. Students can expect to be exposed to the latest theories, illustrated with case studies and experiential learning activities that make the learning atmosphere applicable and fun.
Admission Requirements & Process To be eligible for admission to the graduate Certificate or Letter of Completion program applicants must: - Have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution - Complete a non-degree graduate application online by following the directions posted at www.ship.edu/PCDE/Non-degree - Complete the paper application specific to this program posted at www.ship.edu/PCDE/Application - Submit official undergraduate AND graduate (if applicable) transcripts documenting their previously earned degrees
