The principal aim of the programme is to enable students to develop (and reflect on) their own practice in the context of an understanding of contemporary experimanetal practice in poetry from the UK and North America. The programme aims to develop advanced skills in poetic practice, to develop a critical and theoretical language to discuss practice, to introduce students to the use of electronic and video media as part of poetic practice, and to encourage individual exploration in the range of contemporary poetic practice.
