PgDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (Health Visiting)


Course Description

The Specialist Community Public Health Nursing course is designed to prepare practitioners for the role of health visitor through meeting the professional standards laid down by the NMC for registration on part 3 of the professional register. It is of interest to you if you are a nurse or midwife and wish to further develop your career through working with clients and communities to improve health.

Masters Taught Excellence Scholarship - 3 Awards

Eligibility

You must have been awarded a First-Class Honours Degree (or equivalent) from a UK or EU institution.
You must be studying a full-time taught masters at the University of Bolton campus in Bolton.
You must not be in receipt of any other offer, i.e. Alumni Discount or any other fee reduction.
You must not be in receipt of any other kind of sponsorship towards your tuition fees, for example from an employer.
The course of study must have commenced in September 2014 or later.

Entry Requirements

For entry onto the PgDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing programme you must provide evidence of recent professional and academic development. Furthermore, in order to be considered for admission to the PgDip programme, you will: have an active entry on part 1 or part 2 of the NMC's professional register; have one year's post-registration experience of professional practice; require accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) of at least a lower second class honours degree (2.2) in a relevant subject; and comply with occupational health screening procedures and CRB check.
