Are you passionate about teaching French to secondary school students? Look no further than our PGCE - Secondary French with QTS programme! In just one year, you'll gain the skills and experience to teach French across the 11-16 age range. With a focus on practical learning, you'll plan lessons, reflect on your teaching, and explore research-based teaching methods. You'll also spend at least 120 days on placements in a variety of schools, gradually becoming an expert practitioner. About the course

Our one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) prepares you to teach across the secondary school French curriculum for the 11-16 age range.  

At Manchester Met, you’ll mainly study with your PGCE French group. We'll teach you in your target language to provide an opportunity for you to practise and develop your language. 

You’ll consider how to plan lessons, reflect on your planning, learn how research can develop your teaching practice, and look at ways to develop your teacher persona.
