Course content

If you want to become a mathematics teacher then this course will prepare you to work in schools and challenge you to deliver high quality lessons for all pupils.

You will have to possess a passion for mathematics and be able to work with all ranges of ability. The aim of the mathematics course is to develop thoughtful teachers, who can respond effectively to the learning needs of young people in school.
You must have the background and ability to contribute to the teaching of all mathematical topics at key stages 3 and 4 of the National Curriculum. We aim to provide the opportunity to be involved in post-16 teaching.
