Leeds Trinity University offers Professional Graduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) (FHEQ Level 6) initial teacher training courses in a number of subject areas. PGCE students are also registered to study for a Postgraduate Certificate in Education qualification (PGCert) (FHEQ Level 7).
The Leeds Trinity PGCE Primary (5–11) QTS is a professionally oriented programme that enables you to engage with a wide range of educational issues. It is designed to develop the teaching and learning role through reflective practice.

Assessment during centre-based training is by a variety of coursework and during School-based training by performance.
