Pallative Care (Grad Cert)


Course Description

The postgraduate University of the West of Scotland Graduate Certificate programme in Palliative Care has been designed to equip postgraduates with enhanced knowledge and skills to enable them to provide evidence-based, holistic, palliative care to those who require it regardless of place of care or diagnosis.

The UWS course is aimed at experienced health and social care professionals eg nurses, allied health professionals and doctors who care for patients, regardless of age, with life-limiting illnesses whether in primary, secondary or tertiary care.

Entry Requirements

An appropriate degree award with the level of entry and/or credit awarded being subject to the content of the course. Applicants may also be considered with other academic, vocational or professional qualifications deemed to be equivalent. NB Registered healthcare professionals who do not hold a first degree may also undertake this programme on the provision of two satisfactory references.
