Study your LLM online and enhance your legal skills in a specialised practice area
Whether you are a law graduate or qualified lawyer, a Master of Laws (LLM) is an excellent way to develop in-depth knowledge and specialist skills you need to make you stand out in a competitive job market.
In response to the changing legal landscape, we have designed two online Master of Laws programmes:
•Online LLM in Legal Practice (Conflict Resolution)
The course will deliver a Masters-level insight into different aspects of the conflict resolution process, combining taught modules on dispute resolution, research methods and related commercial topics with a dissertation on an aspect of conflict resolution of the student's own choice.
•Online LLM in Legal Practice (Intellectual Property)
The course will deliver a Masters- level insight into different aspects of intellectual property law, combining taught modules on intellectual property, research methods, and related commercial topics with a dissertation on an aspect of intellectual property law and practice of the student's own choice
Each programme will deliver a Masters-level insight into the different aspects of your chosen specialist area, combining online modules, research methods and related commercial topics. By studying one of our LLM, you will be able to demonstrate your expert specialist knowledge to potential employers through your own dissertation on a specific area of current legal practice.
Current LLM students
The current LLM in International Legal Practice (i-LLM) is still available to book for students who have already started the programme.
If you are a continuing student, please go to “All LLM students” on ELITE to find the booking form, and contact the i-LLM management team if you have any queries.
It is no longer possible to book on to the current i-LLM if you have not yet started this programme.
Please note that if you have started our current i-LLM programme, due to differences in credits and the validation of the awards, you will not be able to book any of the modules from the new LLMs. However, all of the law subject areas covered by the modules in the new LLMs are also covered on the i-LLM.
