About the course
The Master of Information Technology (MIT) program is designed as a collaborative program with Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering and Pamplin College of Business. It offers a blend of coursework in seven related IT modules: Health Information Systems, Software Development, Information Security, Business Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Networking, and Telecommunications. This program is also a part of a dual degree program with VT MBA program.
Entry Requirements
Applicants are required to have:
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher. Some well-qualified applicants with below a 3.0 GPA may be considered.
- More than three years of professional work experience. Some well-qualified applicants with fewer than three years of post-undergraduate experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language or plans to acquire this knowledge in their first semester.
