Course content

Each year, the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership commissions a number of fully funded places for the Nursing (Child) programme. To receive this funding, students will have to commit to working in Wales for 18 months, following the completion of their course. Should students be unable to make this commitment, standard tuition fees will apply.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: The Nursing (Child) programme is open to graduates with a 2:2 degree or above who have a minimum of 750 hours’ experience of working in health related environments, such as care homes, hospitals, community or homecare.

ACCREDITATION: Nursing (Child) graduates will be eligible to apply for Registered Nurse status with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
