About the course

Neuroscience brings together scientists with a wide range of skills and backgrounds to examine fundamental aspects of our brains and behaviour, and to develop new drugs and therapies to treat some of the most feared and debilitating diseases.

You have the opportunity to focus on areas of particular interest in this fast-paced field. Our wide range of lecture modules and techniques classes give you the laboratory experience needed for a career in neuroscience.

The practical research project provides up to six months’ experience in one of our truly interdisciplinary laboratories.

How will I study?
You’ll gain a firm grounding in research skills and practical neuroscience techniques, with specific modules offered to those new to neuroscience to build core knowledge.

Entry Requirements

An upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above in a relevant science subject such as neuroscience, biochemistry, biology, biomedical science or psychology. English language requirements - Standard level (IELTS 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each section).
