I love the practical mobules. We can do experiments and if we have any questions and problems we can talk to professors right away. i've enjoyed meeting a lot of international students from other countries, practising a foreign language and travelling.

The best part of this course is the Lab Research Project, which gives a good opportunity for real lab experience and also the stem cell technique lab module is one of the best you can ask for. I loved all other modules as well, which gave me a deep insight into current research.

“The Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine MSc has offered me a fantastic opportunity to further expand the scope of my studies and delve deep into the field of regenerative medicine. The course covered both the theoretical side of stem cell biology as well as fundamental practical techniques.

“Alongside the taught aspects of the course, I was able to complete a lab project within the department. Here I had the opportunity to get first-hand experience in conducting and managing my own research, taking it from its earliest stages to eventually presenting the final data to colleagues and peers. To be able to contribute to the forefront of scientific research is a great privilege and to do so within the Department of Biomedical Sciences was certainly a highlight for me.

“The enthusiasm of the teaching staff has ignited my desire to further pursue a career within the field. I am currently working within the Centre for Stem Cell Biology at Sheffield as a Research Technician, which allows me to put much of the skills learned through the MSc into practice. This degree has been a wonderful experience and of great benefit.”
