About the course

Home to two premiership football teams, the nation’s oldest cricket ground and a renowned velodrome, there’s no better place to study sport business than Manchester.

Sport is part of Manchester’s DNA. It’s a big feature of the city’s history, character and economy. And it’s a big part of Manchester Met too.

As one of few management courses in the UK focusing solely on sports, we cover topics including sport policy, marketing and business analytics.

Student Profile(s)

Siddhesh Patil

I was a professional footballer back home in India, and considering sports is something I live, eat and breathe I thought this course would be a good back-up to my playing career as well as a good education.

I chose Manchester Met Business School because of the course modules available. It has sports law which is something I’m very interested in.

The tutors on this course are extremely knowledgeable and most have PhD’s in their fields. They explain every detail of the course. They are very good at communicating with students and give honest feedback.

I chose to study my masters in the UK because the course that I’m studying at Manchester Met is not something that I would get back home in India. Manchester specifically is known for its sports culture, not just around football, but the entire sports culture of the city is extremely interesting and enthusiastic, and the people are really friendly.

I would definitely recommend anyone who loves sports to learn about the global sporting industry from this course.
