About the course
Develop the expertise to help people manage pain and dysfunction. On successful completion of this course, you’ll be eligible to apply to become a qualified physiotherapist.
As part of this course you’ll:
- Learn to help people of all ages to manage pain and dysfunction
- Study the core areas of neuromusculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological physiotherapy
- Practise thinking independently and problem solving in a clinical capacity
- Gain comprehensive hands-on experience through diverse clinical practice placements
- Complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised clinical placement experience
Professional
Entry Requirements
Applicants should normally have at least an upper second class honours degree completed in the last five years in the cognate subjects of Biological or Behavioural Science, Sports Science or a Health related profession. Your first degree must also have had a research training component.
Applicants should include the following in their applications:
A high level of interest and research into the profession, including an awareness of the breadth of the profession and the core specialities.
Appropriate work experience/shadowing.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
