About the course
Our MSc Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a follow-on qualification from our PGCE Physical Education programme. Following the successful completion of a research methods course and a school-based research project, you will be qualified to master's level which, in addition to your PGCE, will position you strongly in the broad field of physical education teaching.
The structure of the MSc programme has been uniquely designed to allow you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and complete your master's degree by the end of your second year of teaching, at the same time as keeping your first year of teaching (Newly Qualified Teacher year) free from any academic commitments.
Entry Requirements
A PGCE in physical education awarded by a UK higher education provider or a recognised equivalent qualification.
Applicants must meet the minimum English language requirements. Further details are available on the International website.

Jenna
On completion of my undergraduate degree I was ready for the next challenge, and whilst there are alternative routes into the teaching profession, the opportunity to combine practical application with academia was highly appealing to me. I saw it as an investment in my own future, an opportunity to pursue my interests in greater depth, with other like-minded individuals.
