The MSc in Human Nutrition provides students with a core body of knowledge in the fundamentals of human nutrition science, covering biochemistry, epidemiology & community nutrition, physiology, contemporary issues in global nutrition and nutrition in health and disease. Students can study one of five optional modules to support a dissertation research project and receive training in nutritional research and appraisal methodologies.
The MSc in Human Nutrition is accredited by the Association for Nutrition (accredited course No AC247). On graduation from the full MSc course, students can apply for direct entry as an Associate Registered Nutritionist (ANutr) on the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists. You’ll have a 2:1 degree in a relevant science subject. A 2:2 may be acceptable depending on the degree and your references. We also accept graduates in medicine. If your degree is not science-based, you may be accepted if you can demonstrate a sound underpinning knowledge in the biosciences, to meet the demands of the programme.
Overall IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, or equivalent.
