The MSc Leadership in Health and Social Care is for professionals with management responsibility working in the health, social and related public services.
During your first year of study you will work towards the postgraduate certificate, which will give you a basic grounding in the theories of management and operational management skills.
In your second year you will study the necessary modules to gain the postgraduate diploma. These modules are designed for people working in health and social care where the scope of their role requires they take a strategic perspective. You will develop a broader understanding of the roles and relationships between care providers and the different professional disciplines, and learn to challenge practice and effect significant change in your organisation.
Once you have achieved the postgraduate diploma, you will undertake a research dissertation to gain the full MSc.
The MSc in Leadership in Health and Social Care is part of the MSc Professional Development framework in the School of Health and Social Sciences at the University of Bolton.
