The MSc International Accounting and Finance is a specialist academic programme designed to enhance your understanding of the international aspects of accounting and finance within organisations so you are equipped to develop a career within the field. As the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are increasingly being adopted, studying international accounting is becoming relevant if you want to pursue a career in this domain.
You will gain a good understanding of the implications that international accounting and finance issues have on the financial decisions that businesses make, and develop your knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of international accounting and finance, and the current issues in these areas. You will gain the concepts and critical awareness of the principles and techniques you will need to make effective financial decisions and gain an understanding of econometrics techniques and research skills.
You will also develop your skills and competencies within accounting and finance so that you can bring the right mix of knowledge, skills and innovation that are needed to work within these functions in the modern business environment. Modules include Financial Reporting and Analysis, Corporate Finance, and Issues in International Accounting.
