This course is ideal for students with a background in science or engineering, but with no previous significant study of Computing or Information Technology. A separate award is available for students with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science.
The course aims to expand your knowledge, with a balance of theory and advanced practical skills.
Through the development of a general knowledge of information technology it will enable you to independently synthesise information/ideas in chosen areas of the field. It will promote a professional attitude in students wishing to enter employment in the field of information technology and enhance the career prospects of all its students.
A lower second honours degree, or equivalent, is required for direct entry onto the Master’s programme. orA Postgraduate Certificate with a minimum of grade C in all modules. For entry onto the Postgraduate Certificate programme:(Completion of which, with a minimum of grade C in all modules, will allow a student to progress to the Master’s programme)A pass at degree level.Minimum English competency is the standard MSc entry: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
