The course is designed for professionals from North Africa and elsewhere who have significant upstream petroleum engineering experience but want to acquire additional management skills. Applicants will already have applied the fundamental upstream knowledge required to practice as a petroleum engineer, but this will be refreshed. They will be updated on the latest upstream technology and techniques that can lead to improved reservoir performance. They will also be introduced to modern management methods and responsibilities. The course is a blend of upstream engineering and management topics and will produce a manager with up-to-date technical knowledge and enhanced managerial skills.
1. An honours degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline from a recognized University or equivalent institution, or another qualification or experience the Admissions Committee deems suitable2. Around 10 years experience operating as an upstream petroleum engineer, with present or intended management responsibilities3. All international students for whom English is not their first language must provide evidence of linguistic ability, by gaining either IELTS 5.5 or its equivalent in TOEFL prior to receiving an unconditional offer of a place on the course.
