About the course

The MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology is a one-year full-time degree that provides core training in the basic skills of epidemiology and statistics to enable students to conduct and interpret research studies in important areas of population health. The course is open to graduates in medicine, statistics, health economics, biomedical sciences and other numerate disciplines. 

The course is now open to applications for admission in October 2024. All applications received by the deadline of Friday 1 December 2023 will be automatically considered for all relevant competitive University funding opportunities, including departmental studentships, the Clarendon Fund, Medical Research Council funding, and various College funds.

Entry Requirements

2.1 honours degree, US GPA 3.5 out of 4.0, or equivalent, in medicine, quantitative degrees (eg statistics) or health-related degrees. Three references; generally academic though one professional reference is acceptable. Statement of purpose/personal statement, two pages maximum.
