"What I found extremely valuable about the programme is that it shapes one's mindset to delve deeper into issues. We are always confronted with many happenings around the world in the media, but how does today's headlines translate into something that can impact our consumption choices, the broader economy and therefore our lives? Throughout the programme, I was exposed to various aspects of Economics which shed more light towards answering these questions. The course was taught by a team of experienced industry professionals and dedicated professors who have to function after office hours as well, but yet they are able to communicate theoretical concepts and provide real-world insights on the applications of these concepts. As a working professional, I was able to link many of these concepts immediately to my work and professional concerns, and this “on the job” training has enabled me to grasp more concepts because I had the opportunities to apply them immediately. 2 years of part-time classes is fairly intimidating for working professionals, but the result is a transformation of one's perception of the world while developing a deeper appreciation of the underlying mechanics that propel it. It definitely puts one in a much better position to give an intelligent response to the matters of the day. "

"What amazes me the most is the fact that I have learned so much in such a short time. The amount of knowledge is simply astounding. It is true that we do not have the opportunity to cover more topics as we would have in longer courses. Nevertheless I find that I have learned the basic and necessary tools to continue the adventure myself. And from my experience so far, whenever I need help, I can always consult with the dedicated lecturers in and out of class. In most of the classes, I can really feel the passion that the lecturers put into sharing their knowledge with us, facilitating us to gain better understanding of the subjects, as well as engaging us in discussions among like-minded student peers. So overall, the experience has been tremendously positive for me. Not forgetting the efforts from the course coordinator who manages the whole thing for us."
