Student Profile

Afnan Abd Elhaq

Graduated in 2020

I am Afnan from Jerusalem in Palestine.

Let me tell you about my studying journey at DCU! I studied MSc in Diagnostics and Precision Medicine funded by the Irish Aid, which was a cherishable turning point in my life.

During the three semesters, I received world-class education from experienced mentors and lecturers, who contributed greatly to my excellence. In addition, I was blessed with many lovely friends who played a vital role in my motivation and added joy to my adventure.

Although the covid-19 crisis changed my research-intended master thesis project, I successfully completed the work with lots of commitment and dedication, and most importantly, with the keen guidance from my supervisors. I encourage joining this program because of its comprehensiveness, variety, and cohesiveness.

Currently, I have been given the opportunity to put my education into real practice by being a covid-19 Laboratory Technician.

My takeaways were lots of memories, great accomplishments, and a huge love for DCU and of course, Ireland.
