About the course

Our MSc Health Research can be studied either on a full-time basis over 1 year, or via modular, credit accumulation which would take between 2 and 5 years.

This course offers advanced training in key methodological and theoretical aspects of health-related research from a social scientific perspective. During your studies you will combine perspectives from sociological and health research methods, enabling you to investigate complex health related issues using both quantitative and qualitative methods

The course includes opportunities to learn from experienced staff in the School of Health and Social Care and the Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER). Modules on statistical analysis and survey design will develop your quantitative research and analysis skills, including training
