About the course
Our MSc Finance is an applied, broad-based master’s degree that is CIMA accredited, CFA-affiliated and designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to work in a wide range of financial roles.
The programme is best suited to those who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of the whole field of finance before choosing their preferred area of specialisation - our optional modules will allow you to tailor your degree to fit your career aspirations. You will learn both how to evaluate financial issues and to improve the practice of finance.
Entry Requirements
A 2:1 honours degree (or equivalent international qualification) in business, accounting, maths, physics, engineering, computing, economics or a minor in finance. 2:1 grades are required in quantitative modules.
Applications will also be considered from those who do not meet this criteria but who can demonstrate numerical proficiency and have either:
an appropriate professional qualification in finance
a high 2:2 or above with at least one year of relevant work experience.

My favourite module was Financial Trading, as it taught how to be a trader and how to trade currency in financial markets. We also had the opportunity to use software to simulate trading current.
