Our MSc Finance programme is designed for students looking for a mainstream taught MSc in the subject, with a view either to pursuing a career in the financial sector or to continuing on to doctoral research in finance. The aim of the degree is to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of academic finance and of the financial sector, including theory, empirical research and practical issues.
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE & CONTENT
The programme looks at theory and practice across the spectrum of finance including Financial Markets, Corporate Finance and also Research in Finance. Students can also take optional courses in other key finance subjects such as portfolio theory and financial reporting.
Applicants should hold a good honours degree (first or second class), or its non-UK equivalent, in a relevant subject from a recognised British or overseas university. In addition, further work or project experience will be an advantage.
