Course content

Designed to allow practitioners in finance to strengthen their knowledge of financial law, and those working in law to gain a greater knowledge of finance, this programme equips both groups with the tools to negotiate the wide-ranging changes in global financial markets and the legal and the regulatory environment in which those markets operate.

Teaching takes an integrated approach to aspects of finance and law, with topics including risk management, regulation, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and formation of companies, as well as the bank-client relationship, bond issues and loans. Modules relate to both national and international finance and will give you an insight into how financial and legal principles are applied in practice as well as in theory.

Start dates

There are five 8-week study sessions throughout the year – November, February, April, June and August. Examinations take place in October each year.
