MSc Cultural Resource Management

Course Description


This new MSc in Cultural Resource Management is designed to provide the opportunity to develop the key professional skills required to work in communications, management, and sustainable development of cultural resources, including administrative and project management in heritage, arts and tourism organisations in the private, public and third sector, both nationally and internationally. This may include organisations such as Arts Councils, Local Authorities as well as organisations such as Creative Scotland, National Museums of Scotland, and UNESCO.

Programme Structure

Students take core courses such as Cross-cultural Perspectives on Society; Intercultural Perspectives on Sustainable Development; Intercultural Communication in the Workplace; and Research Philosophy and Practice. Optional courses from a range including Global Heritage, Marketing, Issues & Trends in Tourism, and Managing Diversity in Business are also taken.
