The final level in our MSc programme, the MSc provides students with a thorough understanding of Criminology and Criminal Psychology and provides an ideal foundation upon which to develop as an effective professional. This advanced-level course has been designed to give students a thorough understanding of cutting-edge and important topics within criminology and criminal psychology.
Criminology and Criminal Psychology is a fascinating subject, helping students to understand both the reasons why individuals commit crime and how we can improve the detection of those who do. Students explore modules such as crime, causation and criminological, complex criminal investigations, practical psychology for policing and many more.
There are two entry routes available for this exciting course. The “Academic Entry Route” requires an undergraduate degree from an approved institution equivalent to a UK Honours degree or a relevant professional qualification. The “Open Entry Route” requires at least 5 years’ senior level work experience. IELTS (Academic) 6.5 or equivalent is also required if English is not a student’s first language. Finally, applications will be considered individually taking into account motivation for doing the course, work experience and other relevant qualifications.
