MSc Child Health

Course Description

The aim of the course is to encourage synthesis of experience, knowledge and new learning in order to influence children’s nursing within contemporary health and social care settings by: developing nurses who can champion and promote leadership in children’s nursing, facilitating reflection on contemporary children’s nursing in order to encourage innovation and creativity in children’s nursing and enabling nurses and midwives to apply and utilise research that will support innovations contributing to the development of children's nursing.
Practitioners will reflect upon and expand their clinical capability within multi- agency, multidisciplinary and interprofessional teams and participate in developing and promoting appropriate practice developments to facilitate the delivery of quality care

Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirement for Master’s award is a Bachelors degree with Honours at lower second or above. NB. Equivalent learning from other study or experience may serve to meet this requirement. Specific entry criteria:You must be a registered nurse or midwife who works with children and young people across a variety of health and social care settingsApplications from all candidates will be considered on their merits and in the light of the nature and scope of the programme or work proposed.
