About the course

Recognising that today's complex global challenges, such as climate change, healthcare, and urbanisation, demand integrated solutions, the MSc by Research in Modelling, Data and AI brings together research in diverse fields, including mathematics, engineering, computer science, and artificial intelligence.

This degree is a fully research-based MSc programme, which also includes training in modelling, data, and AI technologies, and allows you to become a member of a vibrant research community, participating in activities such as seminars, academic conferences, entrepreneurial workshops, and industrial forums.

Entry Requirements

You will need to hold an undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above (or equivalent) in an area relevant to your chosen research project. Admission is also conditional on acceptance by the prospective supervisor. If English is not your first language you will need an acceptable pass in an approved English Language qualification such as the IELTS test (with a score of at least 6.0).

As well as academic qualifications, Admissions decisions may be based on other factors, including: the standard of the research synopsis/proposal, performance at interview, intensity of competition for limited places, and relevant professional experience.
