About the course

Launching in January 2025, this Master’s programme is among the first in the world to focus on this area and gives you the opportunity to work on a real-world challenge set by industry.

The development and implementation of in vitro diagnostics is growing in importance. As technological and practical advancements lead to the creation of more sophisticated and effective healthcare devices, care providers are moving towards a more personalised, community-based approach, away from traditional hospital-centric care.

Entry Requirements

Applicants should have an undergraduate degree (2.2 or better) in a related area, either science and data analytics. Consideration will be given to applicants who have relevant professional experience in areas including biomedical science and other science fields, primary care and data analytics.

This £1,000 award is open to all prospective new taught postgraduate (MSc/MProf) students from England, Wales and Northern Ireland who:

Are students living in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.
Are classified as rest of the UK (rUK) fee status by Abertay University.

The award is paid into your bank in January, to help support you with your living expenses in Dundee.

Eligibility

To be eligible you must meet all of the following conditions:

Have been classified as rest of the UK (rUK) fee status by Abertay University.
Have registered with Abertay University to study a taught postgraduate degree either full or part time on campus in Dundee
Have met all the academic conditions attached to your offer of admission as a new student in September or January.

This Award is not available for online degrees or to currently registered postgraduate students..

Application Procedure

You do not need to complete an application form. If you meet all the eligibility criteria you will be notified in

late August (for September entrants)
early January (for January entrants)

This £3,000 award is open to all prospective new international taught postgraduate students who:

Are classified as International (Overseas) fee status by Abertay University.
Are applying for postgraduate study with the equivalent of a UK 2:1 Bachelors degree equivalent or better (approximately 60% and above).

Successful recipients will have the award deducted from their tuition fees.

This award is open to all prospective new international taught postgraduate students who:

Are classified as International (Overseas) fee status by Abertay University.
Are applying for postgraduate study with the equivalent of a UK 2:1 Bachelors degree equivalent or better (approximately 60% and above).

Application Procedure

No separate application form is required, and you will be assessed for the scholarship based on your application for study, and your personal statement.

If you meet all the eligibility criteria and are awarded an Abertay International Scholarship you will be notified by us by email following your offer of study.
